Wonderfully renovated, 100-year old, robust farmhouse on the edge of the lively Andalusian village of Arriate. On the ground floor is the open plan kitchen dining- and living room. There is a high bar dividing the kitchen and the living space. The living room has a 3-seater couch, a big round table with 4 chairs, a television and some books on the shelves. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two separate beds. Both bedrooms have their en-suite bathroom and plenty of cupboard space. On one of the most beautiful places in the Loire Valley, one hour by TGV Paris Montparnasse-Tours (pick-up and return is possible) or two hours drive from Paris, is a 5 acres private property with the name "Sauvegrain" on the bank of the Vienne river, in Chinon, Indre-et-Loire department, Centre region.
The restored house is very private, about 150 meters from the 15th century home of the owners. It has a covered porch overlooking the orchard, a private driveway flanked by large lavenders and a large, above ground pool. It dates from the 15th century and was used as guest spot for farm workers.
The site is located 2.5 km away from the bustling, medieval Chinon, with its stately fortress high on the mountain. Bitche lies 78 km. north-west of Strasbourg. This wonderful situated house, which you reach through a country road, lies approx. 7 km. outside Bitche. The house is entirely detached and is surrounded by pine trees. You are really in the middle of the woods. All you have to do for a sturdy forest walk, is to walk out your garden. This is an ideal spot for children! There lies a fenced garden of 7000 m around the house and at the front lies a large lawn to nicely play on. Here one will find a swing, a see-saw and a sand box. The area is fenced electrical in order to prevent wild boars from entering the area. The living section lies on the 1st floor and has a large terrace. The interior is neat and of a good standard. You have access to garden furniture, a barbeque, an authentic pizza oven, covered terrace and a garage for one car. In the garage is an open kitchen in where you can prepare your meals if you eat outside on hot days. You will occupy this house entirely by yourself. A trout pond lies at the beginning of the path towards the house and one can fish in here for a fee on site, the local population fish a lot here.
