Saalfelden is the big shopping place close by, which you will reach within 20 minutes by car. The famous Zell am See is within 30 minutes drive.
The chalet is located in the fantastic ski area Hochkönig Winterreich, which belongs to the area Ski Amadé. The ski lifts are only within walking distance from the chalet. The trained skiërs can enjoy the ski area to their hearts content. We recommend that you bring along snow chains from September up to April. With snowfall, the manager will keep the entrance road clean.
During summer, this area is eminently suitable to hike, or there are splendid routes leading from the house. The towns in the area are like a big bright sea of flowers during summer. Surrounding towns like Hintertal, Dienten and Mühlbach are surely worth visiting in summer. Within a short distance, is one of the most famous golf courses of Austria. The lake situated in the neighbourhood, is very pleasant to swim in during summer.

It is known as 'a quiet, snow assured family destination and snowboarder's paradise'. Fieberbrunn's highest altitude is 2020 metres and the resort is almost always snow assured. The free ski-bus will take you to the nearby St Johann ski-areas and to Lake Pillersee. You can enjoy an extensive network of good walking paths, natural toboggan slides and cross-country ski-runs. You can also enjoy walking in the vast mountain landscape, rafting or mountain biking in summer.
There are signposted walking routes for langlaufers and walkers through the beautiful rolling landscapes of Mieming. In winter you can ski in the small ski area Grünberg-Obsteig (1,000 - 1,500m) and the larger ski areas Seefeld and the Ötztal are ca. 23 km away. The ski bus stop is at approx. 700 m from the holiday home.
The picturesque landscape of the region "Mieminger Plateau & Fernpass-Seen" is perfect for walkers in summer. The hilly landscape has been attracting active holiday makers for years.
In winter you will enjoy a winter wonderland here and in summer the gorgeous fresh mountain air !
The centre is only a 10-15 minutes walk away and after a 20 minutes walk you will reach the new recreation lake near the 'Oetzidorf' (prehistoric village of 5000 years ago reconstruction). In summer, the region is perfect for swimming, mountain biking, walking, water sports and horse riding. The walking paths mostly run along villages and rivers. The trip to the Gaislachalm via Außerwald and Innerwald is very popular.
The winter sports fans will not get bored in the region of Umhausen. There are many ski opportunities in the Ötztal; Hochötz (height 2200 m, 5 km distance), Sölden (height 1600-3000 m, 20 km distance), Obergurgl (height 2000-3000 m, distance 30 km). The ski area Hochötz is small and fun. Despite its size, the region has 10 lifts. The highest point of the ski area is situated at 2200 m. Besides the many ski opportunities, there is also a fun park for snowboarders here. If you want to relax after an exhausting day of enjoying yourself the Aqua Dome in Längefeld (10 km) offers everything you need.
