Close by are many circular trails which can be negotiated by bike or on foot. We are located 100m from the GR34 which goes to Mont St Michel. A magnificent lake (although private) is worth visiting for a walk. 2 km away is a legendary forest known as Saut Roland.
You are spoiled here when it comes to tourism. Discover the famous medieval castle of Fougères. Its paths were completely refurbished in 2009. Mont St Michel is 30 minutes away. Not forgetting the attractions of St Malo, Dinard, Dinan and Cancale. Visit the chateau of Vitré or the capital of Brittany Rennes.

Auberge de la Renaissance used to be a chambres dhotes and bar but now you have the whole house to yourself. All rooms are different and have their own character and all offer excellent facilities. There is a splendid view of the small lake, which is good for fishing, from the corner room. The interesting Plateau de Langres (wooded chalk platform) is nearby. The fortress town of Langres and Vesoul Castle, dating from the 10th century, are well worth a visit.
From the living room, a large bay window opens onto a patio and fenced garden. A small square in front of the house is reserved for playing games and parking several vehicles.
In the local area, the Giriviller arboretum (1km) and extinct volcano of Essey-la-Côte (3km) are accessible by bike or on foot.
Local activities: Fishing, swimming (open air pool only 6 km away) walking, cycling.
Remarks: Safe storage for mountain bikes in a lock-up garage on the side of the cottage. Pets welcome but not upstairs. There are some chickens in a pen belonging to the owner - so to be aware for dog owners.
The Brecon and Monmouthshire canal is just a minutes walk away and across the road is the friendly Royal Oak village pub serving good food and real ales. This is an ideal base for being in the centre of the National Park, close to Brecon and with easy walking access straight onto the foot hills of the Beacons.

The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!
Red kites are regularly seen flying overhead and there is a fishing lake close by. There is a cave under the castle, open to the public and which children just love to explore.
Carreg Cennen Castle is less than a mile from the cottage and 4 miles from Llandeilo (open every day except Christmas Day). There is a Craft Shop, Tea Rooms and the Farm, with magnificent Long Horn Cattle and some rare breed sheep and horses.
Remarks: Due to steep stairs and sloping gardens this property is not suitable for the less mobile and small children may need supervision. The owners have their own two very friendly Golden Retrievers so are happy to accept equally sociable pets.
The original buildings date back to 1784 and enjoy a lovely south-facing position on the mountain slope, ideal for exploring Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Grwyney Valley, the Black Mountains and the market town of Crickhowell. Sitting amidst beautiful rolling hills and mountains, this is a quiet position yet just a few hundred meters from the small village of Llangenny with its wonderful pub. Crickhowell is just 2 miles away and offers fantastic shopping, coffee shops and eateries whilst Abergavenny boasts a interesting castle with museum and plenty of shops as well as a small cinema.

The windows and balcony afford marvellous views. A full range of services can be found nearby. The apartment is a mere 15 minutes on foot to the port and the seafront.
Also great as a base for visiting the rest of Liguria, (e.g. The Cinqueterre) and the Tuscan coast, even by train, (the station is nearby).

The house is located in Crone village. The market place is just 300 metres away and can be reached on foot via the villages narrow, characteristic streets. Every Wednesday there is a weekly market while the lake and beach are just 400 m away.

The surrounding area is excellent for mountain walks and you can enjoy the sun at the lake or on the beach. The holiday home is well positioned for visiting the many attractive villages, towns and cities around Lake Garda. These include Gargnano (8km), Gardone Riviera (16km), Salo (19km), Desenzano del Garda (40 km), Sirmione (75km) Verona (101km) Romeo e Giulietta and Brescia (51 km).
A car is necessary while the holiday home is located at 8km from the lake in a small hamlet.
