A holiday at Hesthave, a classic Danish country home in the Skive region, is sure to provide a relaxing distraction from the stress of day-to-day life. Few places in Denmark can boast as many local sights and natural attractions as this exciting and historic region, whose charming and gentile character is epitomised by this classic rural residence. Dating back to the year 1750, Hesthave is one of the regions largest country seats, and has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment. Today it functions as a modern and luxurious vacation property, tastefully decorated by the owner in a mixture of classic and modern design. The adjoining 41,000-m2 grounds include a fantastic stretch of parkland area where you can take afternoon tea in a small summerhouse while enjoying views of the shimmering, peaceful lake. Warm summer days are ideal for preparing and enjoying an evening meal in the outdoor barbecue area. Hesthave offers a total holiday experience for private guests and companies, and provides the perfect framework for family celebrations, wedding receptions, conferences and company courses. Guests should be aware that special rules apply to events attended by more than 36 people. Everything has been thought of in this magnificent country property, from the master bedroom to the billiard room, activity room and impressive bathing area with swimming pool, sauna and spa. Furthermore, a 210 m2-unheated hall with concrete floor that is well suited to tennis, badminton and roller skating is located adjacent to the house. Outdoor it is possible to play krolf (deposit DKK 500,-). In addition, Hesthave is also well suited to handicapped guests. Before arrival, it is possible to order a linen package through dansommer for DKK 100 that includes two bath towels and a tea towel. You can also choose to use an external catering service or - if you would like to completely relax while still pampering your taste buds - your own chef. Larger parties have the opportunity of renting four extra rooms with shared bathroom in the annex (payable on arrival). Hesthave is ideally located close many of the Limfjørd regions best-known sights and attractions. Popular excursions include a ferry trip to Livø, arguably the Limfjords most attractive island, with its interesting fauna, moorland, pine and oak forests and steep cliffs broken by juniper thickets and beaches. Livø is also famed for the sight of seals basking in the sun at the end of the protected and impassable spur of land known as Livø Tap. Golf enthusiasts will also enjoy the use of two large 18-hole courses (Harre Vig and Skive Golfklub) located in the local area. Also well worth a visit is Spøttrup, Denmarks best-preserved middle age settlement, and Jesperhus Flower Park on the island of Mors, where you will find various amusements, restaurants and a large water park as well as attractive gardens. If the weather is not optimal there are also plenty of other activities to keep you occupied, including the Mønsted Chalk Mines, the Hjerl Hedes museum of living local history, the town of Skive with its shops, water park and museum, and Fur Bryghus, a traditional brewery and restaurant on the island of Fur.

All apartments have been recently renovated and are located on either the 1st or 2nd floor. In the park you will find: a reception area with tourist information, a sitting area with a fireplace, reading area, TV room with home theater, game room with ping-pong and football tables, a barbecue, a sports field for volleyball and badminton, a playground, a laundromat and a parking lot. Moreover, there is an indoor swimming pool with sauna; the roof of the swimming pool can also be opened. Two times per week pizza is delivered to the park. For children there are, during the school holidays, a variety of children / youth clubs, depending on the age. For adults there are organized trips in the immediate vicinity as well as evening entertainment programs such as performances, celebration evenings and much, much more. The ski area begins 700 meters from the apartment and covers an area of 110 km. During the school year, every week, there is a fact-finding walking tour in the immediate vicinity. There is also a variety of organized afternoon activities including games and a visit to the Museum of Nature (1 hour). In the evening there is the cinema, 'village festival' and much more. There is après-ski in the form of tea and chocolate with games. Once a week there is a free snowshoe tour with guide. On the return trip you can enjoy Crêpes (a kind of pancake) and a warm drink. Even in the village you can experience a lot- for the youth there is a disco evening, snow football, sledding, building snowmen and ski competitions.
